Default Tcu wot
Please call or answer the questions I had on the email. I'd like to get this thing going. Can I change the WOT figures with what I have now. My email address is rwooster3@aol.com if you need to re-read the emails to refresh your memory. If I need to talk to someone else, please let me know.

Thanks
Ronnie

Ronnie,

Russ is out today. Instead of you and I starting from square one try to get back with Russ tomorrow. You can change the WOT settings simply by going to "Communications", then "Retrieve Calibration From TCU." Once you have the current file off of the TCU go to the "Calibration/Tuning" folder, then "Calibration A." Under "Calibration A" you will see "WOT Settings". There you can change the settings for WOT up shifts and down shifts. Keep in mind that the TCU has a buffer for WOT that is about 250-300 RPM. If you want it to shift out around 6000 RPM at WOT you need to set the WOT up shift RPM to something like 5700 RPM or a bit less.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. I have done just what you are saying but for some reason, the figures I put in won't stay. I try saving them but they still change back to what is already there. I know I must be doing something wrong, but I just can't figure out what.

Ronnie,

Have you been saving the cal file, then sending back to the TCU? If you are simply modifing the file, and not sending to the TCU it may not take the change.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I have done it over and over and can't get it to change. It is set at 5500 in all three locations. I'm going to send you the file by email. If you will, see if you can change it and send it back to me.

Thanks
Ronnie

Thanks,
The rpm numbers are in the email. I forgot to say, don't change the tire size and final rear ratio. I had to use those figures to get the TCU speedo to report correctly.
