TCI® announces release of two new high performance transmissions for late model Ford Mustangs featuring TCI®-exclusive performance clutches, steels and bands

It’s always great to have an edge on the competition, as any racer will tell you. And TCI® has that edge that you need – the StreetFighter® and Super StreetFighter™ Ford 5R55S Transmissions. The perfect upgrade for high performance street/strip 2005 to current Ford Mustangs, the TCI® StreetFighter® and Super StreetFighter™ Transmissions deliver excellent performance, with the StreetFighter® handling numbers up to 850 hp, and the Super StreetFighter™ is able to handle around 1200 hp. The TCI® StreetFighter® includes high performance clutches, bands and steels, while the Super StreetFighter™ version features Alto Red Eagle Clutches, Kolene Steels and Alto Red Eagle Bands with heat-treated band struts, as well as a higher main line pressure to deliver supreme strength and durability.


The Super StreetFighter® Transmission also incorporates an aftermarket input shaft made from M300 material (Part #579600), an intermediate billet aluminum servo and cover (Part #576005) & an overdrive billet aluminum servo and cover (Part #576006) and has an even higher main line pressure for tighter clutch application and more positive shifts for the more radical street and race applications.

Both transmissions feature our advanced Heat Dissipating Technology™ (HDT) Coating to ensure cooler operating temperatures. In addition, as is standard practice with all TCI® transmissions, each unit is triple-checked and Axiline dyno-certified for guaranteed satisfaction. Every transmission that TCI® sells is checked for correct valve body and hydraulic readings as well as overall dyno testing.
