Default 502's will shred the torque converter
I have a 66 elcamino with a 502/502 GM preformance crate motor with tuned port fuel injection, it shredded the TCI TH400 torque converter I am going through the tranny trying to get it all cleaned out. The parts are all pretty new, so I am hoping I can clean it out, put it back together and get rolling again.

What are the part numbers? We build some of the best TH-400's and TH-400 components in the industry. I am curious to see which model was "shredded". Please provide me with serial numbers as well.

Thanks,

I have a ZZ4 350 turn key crate engine, had it mated to a TCI Super Street Fighter 700R4 4.10 rear end, and, somehow the brand new tranny got burnt on the first drive home from the GM Shop it was installed in, That was last July 2009, I am still Fighting with GM about who is responsible for the poor install or the defective tranny or torque converter, cost me $4500 just for parts. I now went to a Wrecker, got a TH350 and a new core put in, installed not leaking not burnt performing excellently 48 hours done complete....today is Feb 27th 2010 I am still waiting to find out if I am going to get my tranny repaired or what???? I paid cash, was told by TCi that if I got the Tranny ripped out and Crated and Shipped to them, at my expense, they would look at it... (that cost to me was around $1200 or more) GM, shrugs its shoulders and says that, because it is not a "GM" tranny, they don't service it...
All I did was bring my GM vehicle to a GM dealership and had a brand new Crate Engine and Brand new Tranny from TCI and Torque Converter I paid cash for everything (my hard earned money) and now I just sit and wait...Another thing I noticed as well, now my Engine is weeping Coolant between the Head and the Manifold at the Gasket... I just can't believe it. and GM just got a bail out...damn!!!
