TH 350 rebuild kits

My sons has a 74 K20 4x4 truck 7" lift and 37's on it, 350 around 300hp with a TH 350 trans. Third Gear just went all the other gears still work but drives a bust. Mulling over a rebuild on this trans. Can you make any suggestions on a good rebuild kit to go with? I have a builder locally that will do the rebuild but he told me to purchase a kit, there are allot to choose from and very in price, I just want a Kit that will hold up to the abuse of a teenage driver. HELP these kids keep me broke Breaking things.

I am probly going to go with the Pro Super rebuild kit, any suggestion on settting up the trans scat for a 4x4, and what torque converter should I go with? The trucks got a corprate 14 rear and a dana 44 front axle with around 300hp. I was into lowering and Drag racing as a kid, but my kids into Raising and mudbogging so I am not sure on how to setup his truck. Any suggestion would be Helpful.

Sorry for the delay in response. The Pro Super kit is a great choice it includes everything you need to rebuild it including a trans scat shift kit that will firm the shift up and help the trans live longer. I would also recommend a new sprag and hardened race as well. As for a converter i need to know what duration is on the camshaft in the engine?
