I am considering converting a planned (engine is built and awaiting install) Rover v8 (4.6) IDF installation to EFI and looking to the 8 stack systems as a template, but they all seem to focus on using EZ-EFI v 1 or v2. Is it reasonable to use the Sportsman variant in self-learning mode to get started and then progress from there?
Any pitfalls to consider, 10:1 compression engine, cam is built for the IDFs but seems to have appropriate lobe separation at 112 for a self-learning system. I had planned on staying with MSD 6AL and MSD distributor.
    Thanks

    Hello,
The Sportsman XFI in place of an EZ 2.0 would be an excellent choice if you are looking for a more tune-able ecu. The EZ systems are kind of a "one size fits most", where the Sportsman can be "tailor fit" to the application.
