Using the "alternate installation method" for unpowered distributors found on page 27 of the EZ-EFI® 2.0 installation instructions, Step 3 says to "Set the distributor to the #1 position and drop it into the engine" after rolling the engine to 30 degrees BTDC. What exactly does "Set the distributor to the #1 position" mean? Does it mean to install the distributor as you would a conventional distributor by lining up the rotor tip with the #1 cylinder?

Also, on page 2 of the Dual Sync #305005 install instructions, there is a note about the distributor cap which reads "the #1 plug wire terminal is marked with a band. Be sure to connect the #1 plug wire to this terminal".

With these instructions in mind, I rolled the engine to 30 degree BTDC, and then set the distributor into the engine by lining up the rotor tip in the general direction of the #1 cylinder. Then I followed the remaining steps under the alternate installation method. In the end, the distributor cap is oriented as shown on this photo with the banded #1 terminal and rotor pointed toward the #1 cylinder. Can someone confirm if this is the correct approach and the correct orientation of the cap when all is said and done?

    Thanks,
    Frank
