Default Thumpr cam ignition timing
After watching your engine dyno videos on Youtube I wanted to know what base timing and total advance timing you recommend for the 279h Thumpr cam 12-600-4 for Small Block chevy with Holley 600 dbl pumper carb - Automatic (stock converter) and 3:08 gears with 9.6 to 1 compression.

We do not give out timing recommendations as it is not dependant on the camshaft. Timing is a tuning tool. It would be determined by your whole engine combination, as well as elevation, and weather conditions. To get the motor up and running I would set it around 10-12 initial and about 34 total advance. From there you will need to tune to what the motor runs its best at.
