Default Timing
I have a 11-772-8 cam shaft. I am running FAST EZ EFI. I am started to play with timing.
I am debating a vacuum advance distributor. Motor is a 468 10.5 to 1 compression. Aluminum heads. 5 speed in a 55 Chevy ( not to heavy). Right know I have 18 initial and 36 total. I am not running a vacuum advance currently. Just looking for suggestions . Thanks alot ..

The vacuum advance distributor would probably help out on economy if you are driving this car a lot but you probably will not see any real performance gain from it. The vacuum advance only adds timing at part throttle so you will not be running any more total advance or anything like that. I would actually recommend discussing this option with someone who specializes in distributors like MSD. Their tech line would be better suited to answering your questions on this subject.
