Default Timing controller
Still happy with my EZ EFI but now I'm wishing I had the ability to tweak the timing. I've looked at the MSD Programmable 6AL2 but thought I'd see if you guys might be working on something that would work with EZ EFI for timing control. Seems like it would be a sensible "modular" approach. Lock out the advance(s) in the distributor plug the trigger/mag pickup signal into your timing computer and out to the coil/ignition box. Maybe use the MAP sensor to help reference engine load? How about it anything like that even on the horizon?

thanx

They already have this, it's called FAST XFI.there is testing going on with a new bank to bank ecu similar to the EZ but programmable, not sure if it going to have ignition control though.

Most of the MSD stuff is timing retard only.

Brian are you saying you can control timming with the xfi like a gear retard program with the 7531 ??? If so how or where can I find this in the xfi?
Thanks

There is a launch retard in the power adder settings. You can also use the knock sensor output to take timing out when you trigger it. You could also use the power adder timing retard per stage for up to four stages of timing retard after launch and based on time.

Unlike the EZ EFI the XFI controls all aspects of timing.

If you get the traction control box it has a table that is driveshaft rpm and runs the dots similar to the 7531 but has a second table that will pull timing if it loses traction so between both it is better.

Default soooo
So assuming TurboNova is the last word on this there is Programmable MSD 6AL2 in my future. I read all I could find on XFI and I don't see it having an option to run just 4 injectors OR run without a cam position sensor.

thanx for trying.

You can do anything from 2 cyinders to 12 cylinders with XFI. It can do bank to bank or sequential. Does not have to have a cam signal for bank to bank.
