Red face timing engine
HOWDY
Hope this isn't to vague!!
I have just started an engine that was rebuilt OVER 15yrs ago but never started. I do know that it has a comp cam designed for an RV and is supposed to have a mild idle. I have misplaced the card with the original specs. This is installed in an 1965 t-bird 390 FE. My question is---I need to know where to start to time the engine. The engine runs and starts fine but has a rough idle and I get no response from the idle screws. Can anybody lead me in the right direction without that oringinal card? Also I know nothing about degreeing a cam---did that need to be done? I need to get a starting point before I try to tune the carb etc. Any help will be appriciated. Thanks
