Default Too much spring??
I have a sbc that has your xe284 cam in it (already broken in) , as of late i was going to do a head swap and the heads going on have springs that i peviously had on a mild roller setup..
The numbers are : Installed@1.90 , seat = 145lbs , open = 380lbs@.600 and they are a 1.46 Dia.

My question is do you think i'll run into a problem of wiping the cam or collapsing a lifter with these springs ?

Thx for your time.

Thats a lot of pressure for a Hyd. Flat Tappet lifter. The seat pressure is fine but the open would worry me a bit. It is not way out there but it is on the high side of things for sure. I would suggest stepping down to something more in the 320-350lbs of open pressure for that setup.
