Default Trans controller 377000
Hi

I have some questions I hope someone can answer about the 377000 trans controller. (Old version)

I am using it to control a 4l80 in a 1987 Chevrolet K10 Pickup (4x4).
The engine is a 6.2 Diesel. The problems I am having is that I get no rpm signal, I have fitted a rpm sensor from a 91 suburban that this 4l80 trans come out off. (This sensor looks like a distributor drive.) Will the TCU accept the signal?
The MPH signal sometimes works when the trans is cold, but is flickery and disappears when the trans/engine is hot. Faulty sensor I guess but wanted to ask.
Is it possible to read the raw signal count for TISS and TOSS sensor in the T-COM software?

Best regards
Morten Andre

Morten,
That rpm signal coming from the distributor drive should work just fine. As for the MPH i would have to say you have a bad wire or a faulty sensor. The 377000 will not show the raw pulses per min on the TISS and TOSS.

Thanks,
I also purchased the tci wiring harness so I guess the wires are good, but I probably have
a broken rpm and toss sensor then.

Default Update
After replacing the TISS and TOSS sensor and programing the TCU to shift solely on speed I got the trans to shift automatically.
Still I can´t get no RPM signal, replaced the RPM sensor with a brand new one.
So my question is what type of signal does the RPM input on the TCU accept?
AC or DC? Squarewave or Sinewave?
I have measured the signal from the RPM sensor and it seems to be a AC signal with a voltage of 30-60 Volts and a frequency higher than the RPM.

Best regards
Morten
