Default Trent Goodwin's '79 Camaro Z28

Paint & Bodywork:
-Ronnies Hot Rod Shop (Senatobia, MS.)
-GM Lemans Blue with Metallic
-The fire wall was cut and shaved and moved back a couple inches for clearance; the wiper cowl was also shaved for the full clean affect. The door handles were removed and shaved as well. Every body panel had been removed and massaged to make the body lines flow and be as slick as possible. No one has come out with a new replacement bumper for this car. As a matter of fact, the Hot Rod shop had to combine 3 individual bumpers to make one. They used a plastic welder and took the best parts from all three to make one great piece of work.

Engine:
-COMP Cams® (Thanks to Chris Brown & Bryan Pitcher)
- 496 BBC. Started as a 454, which has been bored and stroked. The bottom end is composed of an Eagle forged rotating assembly with 10:1 pistons. Some aluminum RHS™ BBC 24 degree cylinder heads with 320cc intake/119cc exhaust runners were installed. Next, we installed the valve train. This included an all hydraulic roller setup. The cam selected was the Big Mutha Thumper™ camshaft that COMP Cams® recently released.

Max Gross Valve Lift: Intake 0.57 / Exhaust 0.554
Duration @.050: Intake 243 / 257

Lobe Separation 107
Advance 5

Horsepower: 700hp
Torque: 680hp

Transmission:
-The 700R4 was built by Hutcheson Auto & Transmission in Ripley, MS. It has all the best components – the same ones you can find at TCI®. TCI® has come out with a whole selection of high performance, durable parts to allow a 700R4 to hold up to the torque and power of a BBC.

Suspension:
Silver Star Customs
-Custom air ride setup, firestone air bags front and rear, 2 link setup in the rear, Viar compressors.

Rims & Brakes
Boyd Coddington-Wilwood
-The car sits on a set of 18” & 20” Boyd Coddington Junk Yard Dogs. Strapped behind the rims is a set of Wilwood Brakes, drilled and slotted for optimal braking at high speeds.

Interior:
-Ronnies Hot Rod Shop (Thanks to Ronnie and Casey Geeslin)
The interior had some subtle changes made. Covan Classics supplied the car with their latest gage cluster. We installed Steward Werner gauges. The console cover piece was made to set the interior off, installing the air ride controllers and wrapping around the TCI® Outlaw Shifter. To add some symmetry, the cluster and console cover were both painted to match the outside color. A custom-made role cage was designed to wrap around the interior, the contours of the cage where bent to hide as much as possible, one of the best attributes of the cage is the front down tubes that actually wrap around the seat. The bar in the rear is removable so friends can ride in the back. The stereo system is highlighted by a JVC head unit and speaker for a great clear sound, two dash speakers and custom kick panels to carry two more speakers and tweeters – not including the speaker in the rear package tray.
