I have a 1972 Corvette with a GM ZZ454 marine crate engine and a TKO600 5-speed transmission.
The previous owner installed a Comp cam # 11-433-8 in the motor. The car currently has a GM dual plane intake and a Holley 850 carburator.
I am interested in changing the carb over to fuel injection. I am looking at an Edlebfock Pro-Flo 2 system that a friend has for sale.
When I run the Comp Cams program with my engine and car, it tells me that I should be using the cam #01-422-8 with this set-up.
The cams are basically the same lift & duration, but the Lobe Center angle and Intake Centerline are very different. I really don't know what that will mean as far as an EFI system goes.
As long as that Edlebrock can be tuned for different setups, and from what I can tell it can be, the cam you have should be just fine. You might call Edlebrock and see if they are comfortable with those specs being used with their system. If not you could always step up to a FAST EZ EFI system and that will run with the cam you have without an issue.

The EZ EFI is a great setup for guys wanting to go to fuel injection without all the headaches normally associated with it. It is a self learning and tuning system that can be installed in just a few hours. It does not require a lap top or any tuning experience. The kit will bolt up to any standard Holley square flange style intake. No drilling and tapping your manifold for injectors. It comes with a hand held display that guides you through setup by asking a few questions. After answering the questions you just go drive it and the system starts learning from there. It also has a built in limp mode just like a factory computer for engine protection should something happen while you are out driving around. Even if every sensor were to go out at once you can still drive the car home instead of being stuck on the road. The kit is capable of supporting up to 650hp (we have tested it in house on motors making this much power with out issue). We have had great luck with this system and customers seem to be very happy with it. It is trully a very easy install and it comes with detailed instructions to walk you through everythin. If there is something you can't figure out we have the FAST tech line to answer any questions. You purchase the kit complete with fuel system or go with the base kit and use a fuel system of your choosing. I have posted a link to the website below so you can look more indepth at the system.
OK, I just ordered the EZ-EFI with the complete fuel system. I will post my progress and opinions when I get it on the car. My goal is to have it on and broken in before the Hot Rod Power Tour, which should be no problem. I have a few other projects going on that I hope to finish by then as well.
You are very welcome Curby. Please let us know how you like the EZ EFI and give us a call if you need help with anything. Thanks for bieng a COMP Cams customer.
