Default XFI Software Crashed
My XFI calibration software wouldn't open because a "registration file is corrupt or missing." So, I reloaded the install disc again, but all of my development tuning files are gone. The only one that really matters is the one in the XFI right now. How to I extract it and save it to the GCT file? Thanks.

Larry

You just need to get a working computer with Ccom installed and connect to your XFI. It always loads the file inside the XFI into Ccom so you can tune it live. Just save it then to your computer.

Hello Bluzman2004-
I kinda figured that was the case, but when I connect to the ECU (and it does connect), I don't know where to go next. I thought I would read all tables and then save the one in the ECU, but it isn't obvious to me where or what the current table is. Step by step help please, starting with what comes after connecting with ECU. Thanks again.

Communication>Connect
Check to make sure the bottom left hand corner has "online"
Then
File>save all tables>then give it a name and save it where you want to keep your tunes.

This will save a copy of what is on the ECU
If you want to load another different tune then you must go to the read all tables and select the tune you wish to write to the ECU memory. This would be another tune you saved and wanted to go back to.

As always, there is a bunch of this good info in the Help menu, if you are new then you should start there.

Turns out I already had pulled it out of the ECU and saved it. Just didn't have confidence that it was right. When asked if I wanted to overwrite with the new program, got the willies, wondering if I was getting ready to lose everything. Anyway, thanks for confirming the method of extracting and saving programs.
