Default XFI won't start HELP
I have a ls1 with xfi and xim. The car was running great before.

I had to do some trans work, after we put the car together it started up and then died. Checked the plugs and they looked fouled up. Changed the plugs and starter the car won't start. I removed the wiring harness and inspected and reinstalled. All the grounds and power wires are directly to the battery except the one for block ground. The xfi and xim are communicating I am getting crank and cam light on both boxes.

I ended up sending both boxes back to fast to have them checked. They didn't see anything wrong. So reinstalled them and now I have the same problem and the 4 injector lights are not comming on. If I put the xfi in the dark I can see the light flashing but no where near as bright as the other 4 lights. When I look on the dashboard the rpm spikes to 12750 and battery volts are at 10.6 while cranking. I talked to fast they think it is a noise issue. I wrapped the crank and cam wires with foil and I still have the wires in the same location as before when the car was running. I still think there is something wrong with xfi or xim. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Sound like a noise issue to me too, try to isolate the cam and crank wires from the other ones. Do you have the crank connector looped on the XFI?

I don't know why I would have a noise issue since the car was running fine before and haven't changed anything. The loop connecter is installed. Do you think I should take the cam and crank wires out of the harness. Not sure how to track a noise problem. I am tempted to buy another harness if you think that would solve the problem. Thanks

Do you think the starter could cause a noise issue? The crank sensor is next to the starter. I did change the starter and that is when I started having this problem.

What do you have for engine block grounds?
Where is the battery?
I have heard of rebuilt starters causing nosie issues but that will only be cranking and not after.

To really track down a noise issue you would have to use an oscilliscope to find it.
What about just the crank sensor being bad?

10.6 volts is a problem. Low voltage with the COP and even the ecu is a problem, try charging the battery full charge and try it again.
