Question Xtreme energy cam 11-676-4
I have a pair of GM performance aluminum heads (p/n 12363400) and am wanting to use the XTREME ENERGY CAM (p/n 11-676-4). Is this combination OK? The GM performance heads come assembled with valve springs ( kit p/n 12462970) which are different than the
recommended valve springs (p/n 924-16). Just don't want to have premature cam failure.

I would need the seat and open pressure on those springs to be able to tell you. Also I need to know how much lift they are good for or you can give me installed height and coil bind point.

Aaron,

All the information I could find is below.

OD: 1.514"
pressure @ installed height: 140# @1.94"
solid height: 1.20"
coil bind point (solid height): 1.200"
spring rate: 325 Lbs/in avg. (have seen 368 Lbs/in in some articles)

GM part number is 12495691 (part of kit p/n 12462970)

Hope that is enough information.
