Default Zex Perimeter Plate Jetting
I found the following statement in the Zex installation instructions:

"NOS® and Edelbrock® use jets that are dimensionally different from ZEX™ compatible jets and cannot be used with the ZEX™ 82049 Perimeter Plate. If converting your NOS® or Edelbrock® plate system to the ZEX™ Perimeter Plate, you will need to purchase ZEX™ compatible jets in the sizes that NOS® and Edelbrock® recommend for the plate you are replacing." This statement is followed by a jet sizing chart to use for the perimeter plate when converting from one of four different nitrous systems.

Does that mean that the size, number, orientation, and design of the perimeter plate orifices/nozzles have no bearing on the size of the jets required for the system to be properly tuned?

If you need to purchase new Zex compatible jets when converting from an NOS or Edelbrock system, I don't understand why you would use jet size recommendations for another system when converting from that system to the Zex perimeter plate. What part of a nitrous system determines jet size recommendations?

Yes the statement is correct. The plate itself will not determine the jetting used. There is no one single part of a kit that determines the jetting. It is based off of the flow potential of the entire kit (line size, solenoids, etc.) This is why if you are using someone elses kit with our plate you should follow their jet chart recomendations. You will use the size of jet they suggest and use a ZEX compatable jet style. Nitrous Express jets are the same style as ZEX jets if you need a size we do not have.

So if N.O.S suggest 82 and 91 for a 225 shot i need Zex jets with 82 and 91 written on them?
