The Quarter Master Heavy-Duty Ring Gear features a .100″-wider tooth profile than the current and standard 5.5″clutch ring gear. This wider-tooth design will minimize failures caused when engines with locked-out ignitions backfire and shear the ring gear teeth. This heavy-duty ring gear is designed from a 4140 chrome moly forging for high strength, while the stronger teeth are more resilient to engine kickback. The Heavy-Duty Ring Gear is perfect for 5.5″ Quarter Master clutches in the V-Drive, Optimum-V and Pro Series lines. It ensures proper starter alignment each and every time.
