The Super Chevy Show is headed to Memphis on April 7-9, and the local car culture has been getting their cars ready. Former NFL player Jeremy Lesueur and local car guy brought his orange and white ‘72 Chevelle by the COMP Cams world headquarters for us to check out.
The vinyl-topped beauty rolls on Bonspeed wheels with Wilwood brakes and QA1 suspension. He says Snell Automotive did most of the work and the engine was built by Rodney Hardin.
The 498c.i. big-block stroker puts out more than 600 horsepower and lb-ft of torque thanks to an .070 overbore, AFR heads and FAST multi-port EFI. A March pulley assembly features a Vintage Air system and a Ron Davis radiator to keep him cool in the hot Memphis weather.
The FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 system includes the E-dash hand-held, which has been mounted in the console as an auxiliary system monitoring screen. Other interior highlights include Dakota Digital gauges and door and window handles from Ring Brothers.
Inside and out, this creamsicle-colored Chevelle is tasty!
